The teams at Aquavue and Fraserjet would like to make our intentions and procedures clear for our operations based on current information as at Wednesday the 23rd of June 2021, 3pm.

We are closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and it is important that any information you receive with respect to COVID-19 or any other infectious illness comes from a reputable source. We are regularly consulting with the Australian Government, Queensland Health and the World Health Organisation on the best advice for our customers and staff.
We are strictly adhering to all Government regulations regarding business operations and have developed a written COVID Safe Plan to assist in complying with regulations. The following information has been taken from parts of Aquavue and Fraserjet’s COVID Safe Plan.

ADVICE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS

CAFE/RESTAURANT/BAR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

WE ARE FOLLOWING A COVID SAFE INDUSTRY PLAN

Aquavue is running under the Retail Food Services Industry COVID Safe Plan for Restaurants, Cafes and Caterers. A copy of the Statement of Compliance can be found at the entrance to the dining area as well as in the bar area.

GENERAL POINTS (A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INDUSTRY PLAN REQUIREMENTS)

  • The maximum number of guests is determined by the 1 person per 2 square metre rule for all spaces The maximum number of overall guests throughout all guest dining spaces is 178. From 1am Friday the 25th of June 2021, the maximum number of guests will be determined by the 3 people per 4 square metre rule - a total of 269 guests.
  • Whilst we prefer contactless payments such as PayWave and Tap and Go, we will accept some cash payments. During this time we will have limited change available, please use small notes/coins if possible.
  • Operating hours are changing with easing restrictions. Please check our website and social media for up to date information.
  • Bookings are recommended! If you have not made a table booking, we will do our best to seat you however we cannot guarantee availability.
  • We are not accepting reusable coffee cups during this time, no exceptions!
  • Customer toilets are open only to diners whom have registered details with check-in staff. Public toilets are available for use closeby.
  • Social distancing should be observed, there are a number of signs up throughout the venue to remind customers to keep their distance. 
  • As of 4pm on Friday 2nd October 2020, patrons are allowed to stand and consume food and beverages within a venue.
  • As of 1am on Monday the 14th of December 2020, patrons are allowed to dance at this venue.

FRASERJET (WATERSPORTS) POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

WE ARE FOLLOWING A COVID SAFE INDUSTRY PLAN

Fraserjet is running under the Queensland Tourism and Accommodation Industry COVID-SAFE Plan. A copy of the Statement of Compliance can be found displayed on the door to the booking office.

GENERAL POINTS (A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INDUSTRY PLAN REQUIREMENTS)

  • Anybody displaying symptoms of COVID-19 should not visit Aquavue or Fraserjet, under any circumstances. If customers are unwell, we ask you to reschedule or hold activity for a later date. Where rescheduling is not possible, we will provide customers with store credit or voucher to use at a later date. Where store credit or vouchers are not possible, we will consider refunding the booking. This is at the discretion of management.
  • All watersports equipment is cleaned after each use.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for use at the counter of the booking office.
  • Jetskis are limited to two people and participants of jetski tours should observe social distancing.
  • Customers must bring their own water bottles or purchase a water bottle from the cafe, adjacent to the Fraserjet building.
  • A notice is displayed at the entrance to the booking office which states that in signing on for any activity, customers are declaring that they are healthy and have not recently travelled overseas or to a COVID hotspot.
  • Social distancing should be maintained.

FUNCTION AND WEDDING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

WE ARE FOLLOWING A COVID SAFE INDUSTRY PLAN

Aquavue is running under the Retail Food Services Industry COVID Safe Plan for Restaurants, Cafes and Caterers. A copy of the Statement of Compliance can be found at the entrance to the dining area as well as in the bar area. In addition, Aquavue is adhering to the Weddings Industry COVID Safe Plan.

What applies currently:

  • Our maximum numbers for events taking place on the front deck is 130 as per the 1 person per 2 square metre rule. 
  • As of 1am on Friday the 14th of December, patrons within our venue may dance as per the 1 person per 2 square metre rule.
  • All buffet style functions will be served by staff

What applies/changes as of 1am Friay the 25th of June 2021

  • the maximum number of guests will increase to 192, as per the 3 people per 4 square metre rule.
  • The number of guests allowed to dance at once will increase to the space determined by the 3 people per 4 square metre rule.
  • Self service buffets and foods such as platters are back!
