It is mandatory for all businesses to ensure patrons and workers sign in using the Check In QLD app.

As of the 17th of December 2021, unvaccinated persons will not be able to visit or dine at Aquavue or Fraserjet premises.
Staff will be required to check vaccination status through the Check In QLD app.

The teams at Aquavue and Fraserjet would like to make our intentions and procedures clear for our operations based on current information as at Thursday the 25th of November 2021.

We are closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and it is important that any information you receive with respect to COVID-19 or any other infectious illness comes from a reputable source. We are regularly consulting with the Australian Government, Queensland Health and the World Health Organisation on the best advice for our customers and staff.
We are strictly adhering to all Government regulations regarding business operations and have developed a written COVID Safe Plan to assist in complying with regulations. The following information has been taken from parts of Aquavue and Fraserjet’s COVID Safe Plan.

ADVICE FOR ALL CUSTOMERS

CAFE/RESTAURANT/BAR POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

GENERAL POINTS (A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE CHECKLIST REQUIREMENTS)

  • The maximum number of guests is determined by the 1 person per 2 square metre rule for all spaces The maximum number of overall guests throughout all guest dining spaces is 178.
  • Whilst we prefer contactless payments such as PayWave and Tap and Go, we will accept some cash payments. During this time we will have limited change available, please use small notes/coins if possible.
  • Hand sanitiser and hand washing stations are distributed throughout the venue and inside bathrooms.
  • Bookings are recommended! If you have not made a table booking, we will do our best to seat you however we cannot guarantee availability.
  • We are not accepting reusable coffee cups during this time, no exceptions!
  • Customer toilets are open only to diners whom have registered details with check-in staff. Public toilets are available for use closeby.
  • Social distancing should be observed, there are a number of signs up throughout the venue to remind customers to keep their distance. 

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS - FROM 17TH DECEMBER 2021

  • From the 17th of December 2021, all visitors over the age of 16 years will be required to be double vaccinated with proof of vaccination also required.
  • All visitors are required to check in with the QLD Check-In app
  • Proof of vaccination for each person over the age of 16 years should be via a digital vaccination certificate or the QLD Check-In app. Other methods of providing proof of vaccination will be accepted in line with the information provided by the Queensland Government.
  • If proof of vaccination is not provided, Aquavue reserves the right to refuse service.
  • It is the responsibility of the lead visitor (booking person) to ensure that their party is double vaccinated.
  • Aquavue staff are required to be double vaccinated.

FRASERJET (WATERSPORTS) POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

GENERAL POINTS

  • Anybody displaying symptoms of COVID-19 should not visit Aquavue or Fraserjet, under any circumstances. If customers are unwell, we ask you to reschedule or hold activity for a later date. Where rescheduling is not possible, we will provide customers with store credit or voucher to use at a later date. Where store credit or vouchers are not possible, we will consider refunding the booking. This is at the discretion of management.
  • All watersports equipment is cleaned after each use.
  • Hand sanitiser is available for use at the counter of the booking office.
  • Jetskis are limited to two people and participants of jetski tours should observe social distancing where possible.
  • Customers must bring their own water bottles or purchase a water bottle from the cafe, adjacent to the Fraserjet building.
  • A notice is displayed at the entrance to the booking office which states that in signing on for any activity, customers are declaring that they are healthy and have not recently travelled overseas or to a COVID hotspot.
  • Social distancing should be maintained.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS - FROM 17TH DECEMBER 2021

  • From the 17th of December 2021, all visitors/participants over the age of 16 years will be required to be double vaccinated with proof of vaccination also required.
  • All persons are also required to check-in with the QLD Check-In app as well as the appropriate activity waiver as directed by Fraserjet staff
  • Proof of vaccination for each person over the age of 16 years should be via a digital vaccination certificate or the QLD Check-In app. Other methods of providing proof of vaccination will be accepted in line with the information provided by the Queensland Government.
  • If proof of vaccination is not provided, Fraserjet reserves the right to refuse service to the participant and no refund will be provided. 
  • If you are unvaccinated and do not intend to be vaccinated, you are required to notify the Fraserjet team 14 days prior. At this time you will receive a full refund of funds in credit for any monies paid. Should you fail to notify the Fraserjet team within this timeframe, and you are unable to present proof of vaccination on the day of activity, you will not be permitted to take part in this activity and no refund will be provided. 
  • It is the responsibility of the lead passenger (booking person) to ensure that their travelling party is double vaccinated.
  • It is the responsibility of the visitor/participant to be aware and understand the current government regulations and requirements for entry into QLD.
  • All Fraserjet staff are required to be double vaccinated.

FUNCTION AND WEDDING POLICIES AND PROCEDURES:

CURRENT RESTRICTIONS

What applies currently:

  • Our maximum numbers for events taking place on the front deck is 130 as per the 1 person per 2 square metre rule. 
  • Dancing may occur, providing density requirements are met
  • Self service buffets and foods such as platters are back!

What applies/changes as of 17th December 2021:

  • All guests must be fully vaccinated to attend a wedding or event
  • The same policies apply as those in the Cafe/Restaurant section above
  • No density restrictions 
  • If any guests are not vaccinated, weddings are limited to 20 persons, including staff and suppliers (eg. photographers).

It is an extremely challenging time for the country and in particular, the tourism and hospitality industries. We encourage customers to remain calm and enjoy the offerings of local businesses in the safest manner possible. Remember to support local!
